Zurich, Switzerland, April 20, 2026 — Interprefy returned to Bastide UTS Nîmes for the second consecutive year on April 3–4, 2026, delivering AI-powered live captions and subtitles that helped thousands of spectators follow key spoken moments throughout the tournament.
Following a successful debut in 2025, Interprefy once again supported the unique multilingual demands of UTS (Ultimate Tennis Showdown), a format known for its fast pace, live coaching, player interviews, crowd interaction, and entertainment-led atmosphere. In an event where communication is part of the spectacle, language access played an important role in helping fans stay connected to the action both on and off the court.

This year, Interprefy provided live captions and subtitles in real time, with English and French as the source languages. Subtitles were displayed on giant screens across the venue, making interviews, coaching exchanges, and other spoken content easier to follow for spectators throughout the arena.
Held in the Arènes de Nîmes, a historic Roman amphitheatre and one of the most distinctive venues in world sport, Bastide UTS Nîmes welcomed more than 21,000 spectators across the two-day event, including 13,000 on the final day. Played on what is described as the second-biggest clay court in the world, the tournament once again combined elite tennis with an immersive, high-energy fan experience.

Johann Brégand, Global Head, Institutions at Interprefy, said:
Returning to support UTS for a second consecutive year is a fantastic milestone for Interprefy. It shows how valuable live language technology has become in helping organisers create more inclusive and engaging sporting experiences. By delivering captions and subtitles on the giant screens across the venue, we helped make spoken content more accessible to thousands of spectators, ensuring they could stay connected to the energy, emotion and personality of the event.
Brégand added:
Sport has an incredible power to bring people together, but fully participating in the experience depends on understanding what is being said in the key moments around the game. From live interviews to commentary and player reactions, language accessibility helps bring fans closer to the action. We are proud to support UTS again and to help demonstrate how AI-powered multilingual solutions can enhance the live event experience at scale.
Oddmund Braaten, CEO at Interprefy, said:
Sporting events are no longer just about what happens on the court; they are complete entertainment experiences, and communication is a vital part of that. Fans want to hear the insights, feel the emotion and understand the personalities behind the performance. By supporting UTS for the second year in a row, Interprefy is showing how AI-powered speech translation, captions and subtitles can transform live events, making them more inclusive, immersive and accessible for large audiences. As sport event organisers look for new ways to engage increasingly international fan bases, multilingual event technology is already playing an important role in shaping the future of the spectator experience.
